The girls were monkeys last night for Halloween. Or "Ah ah"s as Maggie calls them (as in, "oh oh, ah ah" the sounds a monkey makes? I don't know). We took them Trick or Treating for the first time. It was a little rough. They'd forget to say Trick or Treat, or thank you, or both. And then they'd try to walk inside the person's house and make themselves at home as soon as the door opened. Then Maggie would immediately put whatever treat she got into her mouth, whether it was food (still in the wrapper) or a toy.
But it was a great way to meet our new neighbors. And it was so much fun having trick-or-treat-ers come to our house! (our old neighborhood wasn't very trick-or-treat-y) And the girls seemed to have a lot of fun. And now it is November! The Christmas season has officially begun! I know all the post-Thanksgiving-ers won't agree with me. But if they don't like it, they can get out of my minivan while I'm blasting my Mariah Carey "All I Want for Christmas" station on Pandora. Woohooooooo!
