West Nile Virus and pirate seances

I came down with something this weekend. At first, I thought it was a case of the "not enough to eat for breakfasts." On the weekends, I consider eating breakfast to be a competitive sport. And not to brag or anything, but I always win. But Sunday I only had some toast with butter. Lame. So when I took the girls to the park and started to feel like I needed to curl up in the fetal position under a tree? I diagnosed myself as bagel deficient and made an emergency trip to Einstein's.

It sort of worked, but then I realized something else was wrong. This time, I diagnosed myself with West Nile Virus. That stuff is going around, you know. And these mosquitoes. They are gross slash everywhere. So I thought the girls would like something to do while Mama wasn't feeling well. So we found some fun pirate shows! About demons! Just kidding. No evil spirits were conjured by Tubb or any of his pirate friends. I kept waiting for the seance to be woven into the bathtub pirate plot so I was a little disappointed. But it was probably for the best.

To make up for my lazy parenting, I made the girls this. I'd really like to do cute stuff like this more often. But, as there was a full month between when I pinned this and when I made this, eh. If there was one part of parenting that I wish I could outsource, it'd be the cooking. And also, the parenting. Just kidding. Those girls are sort of my favorite ever. Also naps. And their dad. The end.

  1. I am impressed - I pinned that over a month ago (more like 6 mo ago) and I still haven't made it. It looks cute though! I hope you feel better!

  2. Thanks! And I do feel better. The girls got sick next, but whatever we had wasn't too bad.
