Tuesday morning I took Maggie back to the ENT for her follow up visit. It was sort of magical, in a way that makes me realize what very low standards I have for magic. We go to the appointment early because I was worried about traffic. So we had time for a little mommy-daughter breakfast. And she was oh-so-well behaved and delightful. And the doctor and audiologist confirmed that her ears are great! She can hear again! And then we had to drive back home in some crazy traffic. Like a car accident on top of going the wrong direction in rush hour traffic. And Maggie somehow fell back to sleep. I get it that sleeping in a car is not a big deal for most kids. But Maggie is not most kids. This was special. I promise.
Then last night, the girls were both in bed and I got to curl up with a spoonful of Nutella and Bossypants by Tina Fey. I mean, really? Is there anything better than that?
