I was sort of on fire today with the amazing deals. I found some super cute Madewell high-wasted capri jeans, some J. Crew toothpick ankle jeans, and a cute Gap top for the spring. At Goodwill. For super cheap.
And then, I found the Kate Spade Emma book clutch on Craigslist for my sister for just $100 (retails $325).
I love Goodwill. It is like a treasure hunt. Mostly I find nothing, except maybe some tap shoes for Hannah to play in on the porch, or some tiny pots for Maggie to bang (also on the porch). Other days, I find cute Kate Spade kitten heals. It can be addictive, the hit-or-miss-ness of it. To keep myself from buying more "stuff" I don't need, I have one tests: I ask myself, is it cute in a way that I might have bought it myself but then also donated it to Goodwill OR is it cute in a way that I want to wear it right away. I still make a lot of shopping mistakes though. But I figure, practice makes perfect, right?
